Ronald P. Emery

Ron is co-founder and Principal, Consulting Services, Softura, Inc.

He has had a distinguished career encompassing all components of the Supply Chain as a Senior Executive with diverse background in materials management, strategy formulation, logistics, customer service, fulfillment, global strategic supply chain, procurement, sales and operational planning, project management and engineering.

Ron’s client expertise includes experiences in Europe, Mexico, Japan and sourcing in the Pacific Rim. He has consulted and worked in many diversified industries including Electronics, Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), Automotive, Mining, Manufacturing, Utilities and other process related industries and Oil and Gas. His line experiences of over 20 years being Vice President Global Supply Chain and Chief Procurement Officer for a $ 2 billion manufacturer of diversified manufactured goods, Vice President Global Sourcing for a $2.5 billion global manufacturer of mining equipment, and as Director Global Commodity Management for a major manufacturer in the EMS space.

Ron sits on the supply chain advisory council of Eastern Michigan University as well as being an adjunct faculty member, teaching MBA courses at Youngstown State University. He has designed a number of hands-on experiential learning modules for Youngstown State University. He is a frequent roundtable discussion leader for CASME (Category and Sourcing Managers , an organization that facilitates the exchange of information between procurement managers). He is closely involved with Xavier University’s Leadership Center (XLC) programs. He has been active and sat on numerous boards as well as serving as an officer for local chapter of both ISM and APICS.

Ron holds a BA in Business Administration from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio as well as an MA in Material Management from Antioch University in Yellow Spring, Ohio.
